Samarth on playing negative roles:
“I am open to playing grey-shaded or negative characters. Since my eye colour is unique, I believe I can easily bring depth to such roles. People often assume that I can’t portray intense or dark characters because of my established image as a fun-loving personality. However, I am confident that I can take on such roles effortlessly,” he said.
“I have already portrayed a dark and negative character in one of my previous projects, so I am familiar with the process. I approach such roles by deeply understanding the character’s motivations and psyche, ensuring that I bring authenticity to the performance,” the actor added.
Samarth then mentioned Jaideep Ahlawat and stated that he loved the latter’s negative role in the 2013 movie Commando. “He brings an incredible intensity to his performances, making his characters feel real and layered,” he said.
Asked if he would like to play a villain in a show or movie, Samarth said, “If I get the opportunity to play a villain, I would love to take it on. I would ensure that I bring my own unique touch to the role while staying true to the director’s vision. I would approach it with a lot of detail and dedication to make the character truly stand out.”
